Dana Rice Guidroz serves as Visiting Assistant Professor of Voice in the School of Music at Sam Houston State University since fall 2021. A distinguished performer and educator with over twenty-five years of teaching experience, she directs vocal instruction and performance training within the university's music program.
Her educational background includes:
- D.M.A. in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from The University of Southern Mississippi
- M.M. in Vocal Performance from Florida State University
- B.M. in Vocal Performance from Baylor University
Dr. Guidroz specializes in classical vocal techniques across opera, music theatre, and concert performance. Her pedagogical approach integrates performance practice with scholarly research in voice pedagogy, emphasizing healthy vocal production and dramatic interpretation. She has established comprehensive training programs for developing performers across multiple vocal genres.
