Dana D'Amico is a Part-time Assistant Professor at Parsons School of Design, The New School, and holds adjunct roles at Pratt Institute and Parsons School of Design. A New York City-based Industrial Designer, Consultant, and Educator, she specializes in creating work that balances urban influences with natural elements, emphasizing materiality and form. Her professional experience spans over two decades collaborating with renowned brands in housewares and fashion.
Education: BFA in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).
Research interests focus on materiality and manufacturing processes, sustainability, and the intersection of design with social justice. She actively integrates industry insights into her teaching through study abroad programs in Portugal and Italy, offering students practical connections to global manufacturing and design practices.
Recent courses include Design Studio 2, Design Studio 3, and Product Design Professional. Her work has been featured in T: The New York Times Style Magazine, and her designs are sold internationally.
