Ammar Belal is a Part-time Assistant Professor at Parsons School of Design with a multicultural design perspective shaped by upbringing in Boston, Geneva, and Lahore. Descended from Pakistani sportswear manufacturing pioneers, he established Pakistan's first luxury menswear label after founding a bespoke denim brand that fused couture techniques with streetwear.
Industry recognition includes national design awards for Best Emerging Talent, Best Original Song, and Best Menswear following over 20 fashion show presentations in Pakistan and the UK. As the first South Asia/Middle East region designer admitted to Parsons' MFA Fashion Design & Society program, Belal now teaches transdisciplinary courses bridging BFA Fashion and BBA Design & Management curricula.
Current projects include his eponymous New York custom menswear label and ONE432—a heritage Pakistani footwear brand supporting local education through 50% net profit donations. His pedagogy explores intersections between fashion design, critical awareness, and social entrepreneurship.
