Dana Atwood

Dana Atwood is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, affiliated with the College of Public and Environmental Affairs. She teaches courses in environmental sociology, social psychology, sociology of sexual and intimate relations, marriage and family, gender, racial & ethnic identities, introduction to sociology, social problems, juvenile delinquency, and crime & criminal justice.

Dr. Atwood's research focuses on intersections of domestic violence victimization, human-animal interaction, gender & sexualities, and scholarship of teaching and learning. Her current work explores how victims' experiences of interpersonal violence can inform policy improvements for victim advocacy. She also contributes to pedagogical research in sociology.
