Dr. Dan Jones is a Reader in Interventional Cardiology Clinical Trials at Queen Mary University of London, affiliated with Barts Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Unit (CVCTU) and Barts Heart Centre. He holds an MBBS from St George's Hospital Medical School (2004) and a PhD (2015) focused on nitrite's role in myocardial infarction management. His research emphasizes translational clinical trials, reperfusion injury treatment, and nitric oxide-based therapies. Notable awards include the 2023 SCCT Clinical Trials Award for the BYPASS-CTCA study and 2021 BMJ Team of the Year recognition.
