Dan Howe

Dan Howe is a Professor in Parasitology at the University of Kentucky's Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, based at the Gluck Equine Research Center. His research focuses on protozoan parasites like Sarcocystis neurona, the causative agent of equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM), and involves genomic studies, vaccine development, and diagnostic tool improvement. He holds a PhD in Molecular Parasitology from Purdue University (1992), an MS in Biology/Parasitology (1990), and a BS in Biology (1988) from Western Illinois University.
