- Education:
- BFA from Goldsmiths College (1990)

His research spans the history of landscape painting (Romanticism to Post-Impressionism), digital-to-tactile image translation, and contemporary art practices. He has exhibited internationally since 1990, including solo shows like 'The Walk to the Paradise Garden' (2017) and group exhibitions at Camden Arts Centre and Turner Contemporary.
Hays has delivered over 30 artist talks and contributed to publications such as The Journal of Contemporary Painting and The Moving Image Review & Art Journal.
