Dan Fu

Dr. Dan Fu is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University, specializing in atmospheric dynamics and numerical modeling at the weather-climate interface. His research focuses on extreme weather events such as tropical cyclones, heatwaves, and droughts, with an emphasis on improving seasonal-to-decadal predictions using high-resolution climate models (e.g., CESM, WRF) and machine learning approaches. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography from Texas A&M University (2018) and a B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences from Ocean University of China (2013).
