Dr. Dan Centea is a Professor at the W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology, McMaster University. He holds an associate membership in Mechanical Engineering. His expertise lies in automotive and vehicle engineering technology, with a focus on electric/hybrid vehicles, Industry 4.0 integration, and experiential learning frameworks. He teaches courses such as AUTOTECH 4AE3 (Internal Combustion Engines), AUTOTECH 4AT3 (Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Design), and MECH ENG 760 (Electric Drive Vehicles).
Dr. Centea leads initiatives in the SEPT Learning Factory, integrating IoT, IIoT, and cyber-physical systems for Industry 4.0 education. His research emphasizes tracking/traceability technologies, automated indoor gardens, and autonomous vehicle education frameworks.
