Justice Dan Biles is an adjunct instructor at the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Kansas State University (K-State). He holds a 1974 B.S. in Journalism from K-State and has maintained lifelong professional ties to the institution. Currently serving as a Justice on the Kansas Supreme Court, he previously practiced law for over 30 years with roles including civil litigation at the Kansas Attorney General's office and private practice. His career trajectory reflects K-State's foundational role in developing his writing skills, which he credits for success across journalism, law, and judicial service.
Education: B.S. Journalism (Kansas State University, 1974).
