Dan Benardot is a Professor of Practice at Emory University’s Center for the Study of Human Health, following his tenure as a tenured full Professor at Georgia State University (GSU), where he remains a Professor Emeritus. He holds a BS in Foods and Nutrition from SUNY Plattsburgh and a PhD in Human Service Studies and Nutrition Sciences from Cornell University. A Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and a Registered Dietitian, he has been recognized with awards including the American Dietetic Association’s Sports Nutrition Achievement Award (1993) and an honorary doctorate from Marywood University.
