Dan Balliet

Prof. Dan Balliet is a Full Professor of Social Psychology at the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences, VU University Amsterdam. His research focuses on trust, cooperation, and meta-analytic methods, with contributions to understanding gossip’s role in reputation and generosity. Ancillary roles include advising the Human Generosity Project. He holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology from Washington State University, with prior academic positions at Singapore Management University and VU Amsterdam.
