Damber Bista

Dr. Damber Bista is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Southern Queensland's School of Agriculture and Environmental Science, affiliated with the Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Systems (CSAS). He holds a BSc and MEnvSci from Tribhuvan University and a PhD from the University of Queensland. With over 15 years in conservation ecology, his work focuses on human-wildlife coexistence, particularly red panda conservation in the Himalayas.

His research spans:

• Movement and spatial ecology of endangered species
• Meta-population dynamics in fragmented habitats
• Community-based conservation strategies
• Policy development for wildlife management

Key technical expertise includes GPS telemetry, spatial analysis, and disturbance ecology.
