Dalya Alkass-Blaise serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Binghamton University, teaching Spanish language courses across beginner to intermediate levels including conversation, composition, and specialized courses like Spanish 251. She actively engages with students through the weekly Spanish Table conversation group and provides academic advising for Spanish majors, minors, and study abroad programs.

- Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Modern Peninsular Literature from State University of New York at Buffalo
Her scholarly focus centers on identity transformations in contemporary Spanish literature, particularly examining Francoist-to-modern societal shifts through the works of Marina Mayoral, Rosa Montero, and Javier Marías. This research informs her teaching approach which integrates cultural context with language acquisition across grammar, literature, and conversational practice.
