Dale Dorsey is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Kansas. His research focuses on ethics and the history of philosophy, particularly the British Moralists from Hutcheson to Mill. He is the author of The Basic Minimum: A Welfarist Approach (Cambridge University Press) and over twenty academic articles in top-tier journals such as Nôus, Philosophical Studies, and the Australasian Journal of Philosophy.
Education:

During his fellowship year at the Center for Ethics (2012-2013), Dorsey focused on his research project "The Limits of Moral Authority". His work engages foundational questions in moral philosophy and its historical development.
