Dr. Daina Mazutis is a tenured Associate Professor of Strategy at the University of Ottawa, holding the Professorship on Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability (ERS). She serves as Director of the Telfer Green Academy and Co-Lead of the Centre for Sustainable Impact/pour l’Impact Durable (CSIID). Her academic credentials include a PhD from the University of Western Ontario, an MBA from the University of Ottawa, and a B.A. from Carleton University.

Dr. Mazutis's research focuses on corporate responsibility, sustainability, ethics, leadership, and strategy. Her work explores boardroom engagement with climate action, sustainable urban development, and overcoming cognitive biases in sustainability leadership. Recent publications examine spatiotemporal approaches to organizational sustainability and regenerative practices in urban environments.
Dr. Mazutis's 15 most recent publications span topics in business ethics, sustainability implementation, and strategic leadership. Her work addresses challenges in corporate climate action, sustainable urban transitions, and stakeholder engagement. Key themes include overcoming organizational inertia, integrating sustainability into corporate strategy, and developing ethical frameworks for regenerative business practices.
Dr. Mazutis has secured significant research funding from organizations including the Smart Prosperity Institute, SSHRC Partnership Development Grant, and internal University of Ottawa grants. Current projects focus on low-carbon transitions in construction, inclusive innovation systems, and climate change mitigation strategies.
She contributes to academic and community initiatives through advisory roles at the Riga Business School and the uOttawa Center for Community Engagement. Her work bridges theory and practice through case studies on sustainable business models and urban development projects.
