Daina Mazutis is a tenured Associate Professor of Strategy at the University of Ottawa's Telfer School of Management, where she holds the Endowed Professorship in Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability (ERS). Her academic career includes previous positions as Assistant Professor of Strategy, Leadership and Ethics at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and visiting professorships at Sun Yat-Sen University in China and the Stockholm School of Economics in Latvia.
Her research focuses on strategic leadership, decision-making processes, and corporate social responsibility, with particular emphasis on how executives guide corporate strategies regarding ethical dilemmas and complex sustainability challenges. Dr. Mazutis examines the relationship between executive orientation and corporate social strategy through longitudinal, multi-level analyses that bridge theoretical and practical applications in business ethics.
Her publication record spans prestigious journals including Academy of Management Learning and Education, Business & Society, California Management Review, Journal of Business Ethics, and Organizations & Environment, demonstrating an interdisciplinary approach to understanding leadership's role in addressing social and environmental challenges within corporate contexts.
