Dagan Loisel

Dagan Loisel is Associate Professor of Biology and Pre-Health Advisor at Saint Michael's College. His research integrates evolutionary biology, genetics, and immunology to study wildlife diseases, asthma pathogenesis, and reproductive immunology. He leads NASA-funded projects using VR for astronaut stress reduction and investigates herpesvirus ecology in Vermont bobcats.

Loisel teaches Health Science Fundamentals, Genetics, and Immunology. His publications span wildlife disease genomics, HLA-G immunogenetics in asthma/pregnancy, and gene-environment interactions in respiratory illnesses. Research employs molecular techniques, population genetics, and interdisciplinary approaches bridging field biology and clinical science.
