D. Nagesh Kumar

Roles & Affiliations: Professor of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Currently on sabbatical (2024-25) as the Edward M Curtis Visiting Professor at Purdue University's Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering, USA. Associate Faculty at IISc's Centre for Earth Sciences (CEaS) and Divecha Centre for Climate Change (DCCC).

Education & Experience: Holds a PhD from IISc. Extensive experience in academia, including research, teaching, and editorial roles. Visited abroad for collaborations and presented at international conferences.

Research Interests: Focuses on water resources engineering, environmental sustainability, and climate change adaptation. Active in interdisciplinary projects involving hydrology, geotechnical engineering, and sustainable infrastructure development. Leads a research group and has authored numerous publications (see citations for details).
