D. Edward Davis, Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer and Music Coordinator at the University of New Haven’s College of Arts and Sciences, specializing in electronic and acoustic music composition inspired by environmental processes. He can be contacted at DEDavis@newhaven.edu.

Davis’s research explores environmental sound art and nature-inspired systems, with works performed by ensembles like the Duke New Music Ensemble and yMusic. His compositions are featured on recordings by Spectropol Records and artists including Eric Honour and Erik Carlson.
Notable presentations include performances at the EcoSono Environmental Music Festival (2017), New Music Gathering (2016), and the Sixth International Conference on Music and Minimalism (2017). He has attended residencies at Ragdale Foundation, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center, and Ucross Foundation.
