Cyril Holm

Cyril Holm is an Associate Professor in Jurisprudence Research at Karlstad University, with a multi-disciplinary academic background spanning law, business, and the humanities. His research focuses on the intersection of law, technology, and ethics, particularly in AI governance, smart building regulation, and legal philosophy. He recently concluded a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship at Stockholm University’s Swedish Law and Informatics Research Institute, funded by the Wallenberg Foundation.

• VINNOVA-funded Dig-IT Lab initiative at KTH Royal Institute of Technology
• Co-authoring Law, Artificial Intelligence, and Leviathan with Anders Sandberg (Oxford University)

Collaborates with KTH’s Division of Construction and Facilities Management and the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford.

Labs & Platforms: Core member of Dig-IT Lab, expanding KTH Live-In Lab’s research on digital twins, sustainability, and ethical interoperability in built environments.
