Cynthia Leung

Adjunct Professor Cynthia Leung is affiliated with the Mitchell Institute at Victoria University. She holds a BSocSc from the University of Hong Kong (HKU), an MSc from University College London (UCL), and a PhD from Monash University. Her research focuses on parent training programs, program evaluation, and assessment instrument development, with an emphasis on supporting children with diverse learning needs in Hong Kong preschools. She collaborates with community sectors to enhance preschool capacity and has contributed to government-funded services for early childhood education.

Previously, she served as a professor and program leader for educational psychology training at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her current projects include developing a comprehensive assessment scale for toddlers in Hong Kong and evaluating interventions to improve family and child wellbeing. She actively engages in translating research into practical applications for education systems.
