Cynthia E. Lynch

Cynthia E. Lynch, Ph.D., is a full-time Associate Professor in the Department of Public Service within the College of Professional Studies at Hawaii Pacific University. She previously served as an Associate Professor in the MPA program at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (2006–2018) and taught at the Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy & Urban Affairs at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Her research and teaching expertise spans public administration, ethics, nonprofit management, policy formulation, organizational theory, and grant writing. She emphasizes ethical leadership and civic engagement in public service education.

Dr. Lynch is the Editor of the Global Virtue Ethics Review, an online journal, and actively contributes to scholarly discourse in virtue ethics and public affairs. Her work reflects a strong interdisciplinary approach, bridging governance, ethics, and community service.

She is an Ordained Interfaith Minister and serves on the board of the Interfaith Alliance of Hawaii. Additionally, she provides regular consultation and advisory services to nonprofit organizations in the United States and Mexico, demonstrating a deep commitment to civic and social responsibility.
