Michael Lynch

Michael Lynch, PhD, ABPP is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Clinical Psychology department at The Chicago School's Washington, DC campus. Prior to joining The Chicago School, Dr. Lynch served as Dean of The American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University Northern Virginia. With a distinguished career spanning military service and academic leadership, he brings extensive expertise in clinical psychology and neuropsychology to his teaching role.

Dr. Lynch's educational background includes:

• PhD in Clinical Psychology/Neuropsychology from California School of Professional Psychology, Fresno, CA (1997)
• Master of Arts in Community Counseling and Mental Health Counseling from St Bonaventure University

His research and clinical interests span multiple domains of psychological practice and innovation:

• Neuropsychology and Clinical Neuroscience
• Forensic psychology applications
• Integrative health approaches
• Biofeedback and neurofeedback techniques
• Psychopharmacology considerations
• Telemedicine applications in behavioral health

Dr. Lynch has received notable recognition for his contributions to the field:

• Maxwell R. Thurmond Award for Excellence in Medicine and Technology (2011)

With over 25 years of service in the US Army Medical Service Corps, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2004, Dr. Lynch has held significant leadership positions including Chair of the Department of Behavioral Health at DeWitt Army Community Hospital and Director of Tele-Health Services at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He currently serves as a mentor and evaluator for the American Board of Professional Psychology, Clinical Psychology (ABPP/ABCP).

Dr. Lynch's military and academic career has positioned him as a subject matter expert on Department of Defense committees for behavioral health and telemedicine, contributing to the development of integrated tele-health services across multiple medical disciplines.
