Professor Curtis Deutsch holds joint appointments in Geosciences and the High Meadows Environmental Institute at Princeton University. His research investigates ocean biogeochemistry, climate impacts on marine ecosystems, and biodiversity responses to environmental change. He leads the Deutsch Research Group and serves as Principal Investigator for the Southern Ocean Carbon and Climate Observations program.
Recent publications focus on climate-driven changes in marine habitats, including coral reef responses to hypoxia and biogeochemical cycling alterations. His work combines observational data with modeling to predict future ocean conditions.
