Crystal Zhou

Crystal Zhou is an Associate Professor in Clinical Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Pharmacy. She holds a PharmD from the University of California, San Diego (2015), followed by PGY1 Pharmacy residency at UCSF (2016) and PGY2 Ambulatory Care/Primary Care residency at the University of Washington (2017). She also completed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Champion Training at UCSF in 2021.

Her research focuses on cardiovascular prevention, hypertension management, and dyslipidemia, with a strong emphasis on improving healthcare equity through nontraditional settings like barbershop-based interventions. She has contributed to studies on remote monitoring for hypertension control and telehealth services in academic medical centers.

Dr. Zhou is actively involved in clinical trials and serves on the UCSF Academic Senate. Her work spans educational innovations in pharmacy, including remote learning strategies for skills courses. She collaborates with researchers like Dr. Oni-Orisan and Dr. Lyles on projects addressing health disparities and patient-centered care.
