Her research interests emphasize cross-cultural analysis, such as the influence of African American music on K-pop, global fan communities, and the role of cultural hybridity in contemporary media. She has presented widely on topics like K-pop’s transnational fandom, racial discourses in literature, and the legacy of Afro-Asian solidarity movements, often linking historical contexts with modern cultural phenomena.
