Cristina Carretero Ribón

Dr. Cristina Carretero Ribón is a Digestive Specialist and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Navarra, affiliated with both the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy. She works at the Pamplona Headquarters of the University of Navarra Clinic and is a key member of its Cancer Center and Digestive Department.

• Education: Graduated in Medicine from the University of Navarra (2000), specialized in Digestive System (2005).
• Specializations: Capsule colonoscopy, capsule enteroscopy, digestive tumor prevention.

Research Focus: Her work centers on improving diagnostic techniques such as high-definition endoscopy (NBI) and colon capsule applications for colonic lesions. She contributes to hereditary digestive tumor syndromes and therapeutic endoscopy research.

Teaching & Leadership: She actively trains endoscopic capsule readers internationally and is involved in the Web Committee of the Spanish Digestive System Foundation and the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Society of Digestive Endoscopy.

Publications: Co-author of 3 books, 6 book chapters, and over 20 articles in national and international journals.
