Dr. Cristian Birzer is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Adelaide's School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, focusing on Sustainable Energy and Humanitarian Engineering. He leads the Humanitarian and Development Solutions Initiative (HDSI), which develops affordable technologies for resource-constrained regions. His research areas include clean cookstove design, biochar applications in waste management, and renewable energy systems.
