Craig Wilson is the Acting Associate Dean of Research, Graduate Programs, and Faculty Relations, and a Sutherland Scholar in International Business at the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Alberta (2004) and has extensive experience in teaching and academic administration.
His research focuses on corporate finance, corporate governance, and international business. Key areas include executive behavior, institutional ownership, cross-border M&A, and the impact of cultural factors like religion on financial decisions. He has published widely in journals such as the Journal of International Financial Management and Corporate Governance: An International Review.
His work shows a trend toward analyzing emerging markets (e.g., Vietnam, Africa), digital technologies (blockchain), and the intersection of finance with social issues (gender diversity, environmental responsibility). Notable awards include the Best Paper Award (2013) and the Bank of Canada Prize (2004).
