Dr. Craig Stott is a Senior Lecturer and Undergraduate Course Director at Leeds Beckett University's School of Architecture, where he has been academic staff since 2010. As co-director of Project Office – an RIBA Chartered Practice and research lab – he leads community-engaged design initiatives that bridge architectural education and social impact. His affiliations include board membership at New Wortley Housing Association and chairmanship of RIBA Yorkshire's Special Education Group.
Stott's research examines co-design methodologies in architectural education, focusing on how live projects create reciprocal learning environments for students and communities. His work addresses social sustainability, community empowerment, and ethical architecture through participatory design. Key research strands include the pedagogical value of community embedding, frameworks for external collaborator engagement, and the socio-economic impact of university-community partnerships.
