Craig Parker is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics at Deakin Business School, Faculty of Business and Law, Deakin University. He holds a PhD in Information Systems from Monash University (1998) and has over 20 years of research experience in digital transformation and sustainability in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). He is affiliated with the IPA-Deakin SME Research Partnership and is available for Masters and PhD supervision.
Research Interests: Craig’s research centers on the digital transformation of SMEs, particularly during crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic. He investigates how SMEs adopt digital technologies, communicate corporate social responsibility (CSR), and integrate environmental sustainability into their online presence. His work also explores the digital divide in community organizations like local sporting clubs and the role of website design in content prominence.
His recent publications show a strong trend in analyzing SME digital responses, online CSR communication, and green content in websites. These works often employ qualitative content analysis and case study methodologies, applying theoretical frameworks such as stakeholder theory, framing theory, and legitimacy theory.
