Craig Douglas is an Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design (GSD). His research focuses on redefining air as a dynamic material through digital and spatial methodologies, emphasizing its role in urban design, environmental systems, and responsive environments. He leads projects like Plot Zero: Sensing the Landscape and Digital Air, exploring how air's materiality influences urban and ecological systems. Douglas teaches courses including Landscape Architecture Core II and Representation II, and coordinates thesis supervision. His work bridges practice and academia, with prior experience in Australia, the Netherlands, and the UK, and collaborations with global design practices.
Education: PhD in progress, Master of Landscape Architecture, and Bachelor of Architecture from RMIT University (Melbourne). Co-founded the Office of Urban Transformation (OUTR) Research Lab, focusing on sustainable urban futures. Current roles include a Faculty Residency at Harvard's ArtLab and affiliation with the American Academy Rome.
