Craig Bruce Smith is an associate professor of history at National Defense University's Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS) in Norfolk, VA. He is a distinguished early American historian and author of two significant works: American Honor and George Washington’s Lessons in Ethical Leadership. Smith earned his PhD in American history from Brandeis University and has held academic positions at U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), William Woods University, and Tufts University.
