Craig Brandt serves as Adjunct Professor of the Practice at the University of Notre Dame's School of Architecture, where he teaches adaptive and regenerative design with emphasis on industrial symbiosis and cross-disciplinary approaches. A Chicago-based architect and Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA), he also holds affiliation as a Fellow of the American Academy in Rome (2001).
His research centers on sustainable architecture and urbanism, particularly civic design applications in Metropolitan Chicago contexts and twentieth-century architectural traditions. He explores the integration of 'making' processes within design pedagogy through courses like Figurative Design Systems, bridging architecture and arts disciplines.
