Tiffany Abernathy

Tiffany Abernathy is an Adjunct Professor of the Practice at the University of Notre Dame’s School of Architecture and Director of US Projects at John Simpson Architects. She holds degrees from the University of Miami (BArch), University of Notre Dame (MArch), The Architectural Association (GradDiplCons), and The Bartlett School of Architecture (Part3/ARB/RIBA).

• AIA and RIBA Chartered Member
• Fellow of Royal Society of Arts and Society of Fellows at American Academy in Rome

Research & Expertise: Classical Architecture, Urban Design, Regenerative Culture initiatives, and interdisciplinary design/documentation labs (R+D). She has coordinated three publications for John Simpson Architects and focuses on transatlantic city exchanges in education and practice.

Teaching & Leadership: Led Notre Dame’s fifth-year thesis program, taught in the Rome Studies Program, and directed the Ax:son Johnson Centre’s Summer Studio (Cambridge, 2022-2023). She will continue teaching in Sweden and Cambridge in 2024.
