Courtney Strosnider

Courtney Strosnider is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health at Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development. She holds a B.S. in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from The College of William and Mary (2011), an M.S. in Clinical Exercise Physiology from James Madison University (2014), and is currently pursuing an MPH in Health Promotion and Behavior at Georgia State University. Her research focuses on leveraging mindfulness to promote healthy behaviors, particularly in diverse populations and smoking cessation, through the Mindful Living Lab. Previous research includes studies on heart rate variability in obstructive sleep apnea patients and balance assessment in the elderly using technology like the Nintendo Wii.

Clinically, she has worked in cardiac rehabilitation at Emory University, outpatient/inpatient physical therapy, corporate wellness, and recreation therapy. She advocates for integrating exercise as a prescribed component of healthcare and emphasizes obesity prevention and physical activity promotion in sedentary populations.
