Courtney Collins is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Economics at Rhodes College. She previously served as an Assistant Professor at Mercer University, where she taught macroeconomics, microeconomics, and introductory econometrics. Her research focuses on the economics of education and public economics.
Dr. Collins holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Texas A&M University (2010) and a B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Rhodes College (2005). She has been recognized for her academic contributions, including the Mercer University Stetson School of Business and Economics Distinguished Faculty Award in 2012.
Her affiliations include roles in the Economics department, Philosophy, Politics and Economics program, and Data Analytics initiatives at Rhodes College. She is actively involved in departmental leadership and academic programming.
