Costanza Julia Bani

Costanza Julia Bani is an Assistant Professor of Film and Media Production at Stockholm University of the Arts. Her research project Darkness Matters explores light/sound pollution through transdisciplinary collaboration between art, science, and technology. She leads a team investigating nocturnal ecosystems and speculative documentaries, aiming to inspire societal engagement with environmental issues. The project combines immersive 360° audio-visuals, AI tools, and full-dome exhibitions, with planned dissemination via institutions like Tekniska Museet and Vetenskapens Hus.

Collaborations: Partnerships span institutions like KTH Royal Institute of Technology (NAVET hub), Lund University’s Biology Faculty, Karolinska Institutet, and international experts in astrophysics, biodiversity, and light pollution. She also collaborates with tech firms like SISME and Anamorph for immersive tech solutions.
