Corinna Zeltsman is an Assistant Professor of History at Princeton University, specializing in Modern Latin America with focuses on printing/book history, political culture, and labor in 19th- and 20th-century Mexico. She holds a PhD from Duke University (2016) and previously taught at Georgia Southern University. Her research integrates material culture and media studies, supported by NEH, ACLS, and SSRC grants.
Her award-winning book Ink Under the Fingernails (2021) examines print politics in Mexico, winning the Howard F. Cline Prize and LASA Social Sciences Award. Current research explores post-independence Mexico’s 'paper question,' linking state formation, technology, and environmental history.
Affiliations include Princeton’s History Department and the Mellon Society of Fellows in Critical Bibliography. Grants include NEH funding for her paper project. Teaching and research reflect her letterpress printing background, emphasizing hands-on engagement with historical materials.
