Corina Greven is a Professor of Environmental Sensitivity in Health at Radboud University Medical Centre, holding a Chair in this specialized field. She earned her BSc (Hons) in Psychology from University College London (2007), followed by an MSc and PhD in Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry from King’s College London (2008–2011). Her research focuses on inter-individual differences in environmental sensitivity, particularly how traits like Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS) interact with positive/negative environments to affect health and mental flourishing. She leads the research group 'Positive Developmental Psychopathology.'
Greven has secured major grants including Horizon 2020 (€3.9M for the MiND Network) and EU-AIMS-2-TRIALS, and pioneered the MindChamp trial (mindfulness for ADHD children and parents). She has supervised over 8 PhD students and received accolades like the Kramer-Pollnow Young Investigator Award for ADHD research. Her work bridges ADHD, autism, and SPS, emphasizing transdisciplinary approaches.
- Education: BSc Psychology (UCL), MSc/PhD (King’s College London).
- Key Projects:
- MindChamp: RCT evaluating mindfulness for ADHD families.
- EU-AIMS-LEAP: Sensory processing in autism.
- TEDS: Twin studies on ADHD traits.
- Awards: Kramer-Pollnow (2016), Young Scientist (2015), Horizon 2020 grants (2014–2020).
Her lab explores SPS as a 'dual-edged sword'—enhanced reactivity to both harmful and beneficial environments. Collaborations include Karakter Child Psychiatry and King’s College London. Current interests include mindfulness interventions to mitigate overstimulation and gene-environment interactions in neurodevelopmental disorders.
