Corey Wallace is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Kanagawa University. His research focuses on East Asian geopolitics, Japanese foreign policy, and regional security dynamics. He holds a PhD from the University of Auckland (2015) and has held visiting positions including the Einstein Postdoc at Freie Universität Berlin (2015-2019). Wallace has extensive experience in policy advising, including at New Zealand's Ministry of Research, Science and Technology (2007-2010). His work explores Japan's strategic pivots, Southeast Asia-Japan relations, and regional power dynamics.
