Shogo Akagawa

Dr. Shogo Akagawa is a Lecturer at the Department of History and Cultural Studies, Freie Universität Berlin, affiliated with the East Asian Seminar and Japanese Studies section. His work focuses on Japanese politics, culture, and society, with research projects spanning topics like Japan's foreign policy, democratic institutions, and urban-rural dynamics.

His current research includes projects such as 'Law without Mercy: Japanese Courts-Martial and Military Courts During the Asia-Pacific War, 1937-45' and 'Berlin’s Japanese Foodscapes', which examines cultural intersections.
