Corentin Guellec

Corentin Guellec holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from ENSTA Bretagne (April 2023), affiliated with the Institut de Recherche Dupuy de Lôme (IRDL), a CNRS joint research unit (UMR 6027) and Carnot Institute ARTS. His research focuses on the durability of naval vessel shaft lines, addressing technological and scientific challenges in materials fatigue under complex cyclic loading. He was awarded the Académie de Marine prize for his thesis, which introduced innovative experimental methods for material fatigue characterization and probabilistic multiscale modeling.

His work bridges academia and industry through collaborations with Naval Group, DGA, and IRDL, contributing to lighter, more optimal structural designs aligned with socio-ecological transition goals. Key achievements include transferring research outcomes to industrial sizing procedures and advancing eco-efficient naval engineering practices.
