Cordula Jakob

Cordula Jakob, M.Sc., is a researcher at the GeoZentrum Nordbayern (GeoCenter Northern Bavaria) within the Faculty of Sciences at Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. She works in the Department of Mineralogy under the Chair of Mineralogy led by Prof. Dr. Göbbels. Her office is located in Room NG 2.003 at Schloßgarten 5a, 91054 Erlangen, where she conducts research on cement chemistry and construction materials.

Her primary research interests focus on cement chemistry, particularly the development of phase composition, kinetics and rheology during early hydration of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) pastes. She investigates how inorganic additives and polycarboxylate-based superplasticizers (PCEs) affect the kinetics and rheological behavior of cementitious systems. Her work has significant implications for construction materials engineering, 3D concrete printing technology, and understanding fundamental hydration processes.
