Cooper Biersach

Cooper Biersach is Professor of the Practice of Organizational Behavior at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. She co-founded the Family Enterprise Center and leads its educational programming, teaching family business courses to undergraduate and MBA students. With prior experience as Senior VP of Worldwide HR at Jack Morton Worldwide, she provides leadership coaching and succession planning consulting to family enterprises.

Her research focuses on:

• Leadership development in family businesses
• Cross-generational business communication
• Governance structures for privately-held companies

Professor Biersach holds an MBA/JD with honors and a BA in English from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is a Professional Certified Coach (International Coaching Federation) and founding director of the Carolinas Family Office Forum.
