Andrew C. Boynton

Andrew C. Boynton is the John and Linda Powers Family Dean of Boston College's Carroll School of Management. He holds a BS from Boston College, an MBA and Ph.D. from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at UNC Chapel Hill. His research focuses on innovation, leadership, and strategy, with a focus on expertise-driven competitive advantage. He previously served as a professor at IMD (Switzerland), UNC Kenan-Flagler, and the University of Virginia's Darden School. Notable publications include The Idea Hunter (Wiley, 2011), Virtuoso Teams (2005), and Invented Here (1998). He leads initiatives like Boston College's core curriculum renewal and chairs leadership forums on innovation. His writing appears in HBR, Forbes, and Sloan Management Review.
