Constantinos N. Phellas

Constantinos N. Phellas is the Vice Rector for Faculty and Research at the University of Nicosia and holds an Associate Professorship at its School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Law. His academic journey spans mathematics, management science, and sociology, with a PhD from the University of Essex. A leading sociologist, his work focuses on sexual identities, public health (particularly end-of-life care and HIV/AIDS), and aging. He founded the Research Unit in Behavioural and Social Issues (RUBSI) and leads the Gerontological Research Center, addressing issues like thalassemia and elderly care in Cyprus.
