Dr. Constantinos Adamides is an Associate Professor of International Relations and Head of the Department of Politics and Governance at the University of Nicosia's School of Law. He also serves as a Member of the Senate and is affiliated with the European Security and Defense College as a member of its Executive Academic Board. His academic leadership extends to having served as Director of the Diplomatic Academy from 2014-2025.
His educational background includes:

- MA in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University (2006)
- MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University (2006)
- BSc in Finance and Political Science from Rutgers University (2003)

His work focuses on protracted conflicts and conflict resolution, particularly the Cyprus conflict, with additional expertise in East Mediterranean geopolitics where hydrocarbon resources have created new tensions. He examines hybrid threats and disinformation in the modern security environment, including the role of AI in information operations. His research also covers securitization theory, EU foreign and security policy, and even the intersection of football and politics. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in promoting peace and strong institutions.
His recent publications demonstrate a consistent focus on Mediterranean security dynamics, with particular attention to Cyprus's position within regional and European frameworks. Adamides frequently analyzes how traditional security concerns intersect with emerging challenges like energy politics and digital disinformation campaigns.
