Dr. Constantina Lazaridou is a Lecturer in Law and Programme Director for the LLB programme at Queen Mary University of London. She teaches EU Law, Family Law, and EU Trade Law. Previously, she led the Law LLB programme at Buckinghamshire New University. She holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham, an LLM from the University of Reading, and an LLB from Cardiff University.
Her research examines tensions between EU fundamental economic freedoms and human rights protections, particularly through European Court of Justice case law. Additional interests include:
- AI's impact on human rights frameworks
- ECHR-EU law convergence
- Constitutional dimensions of EU integration
She is preparing her doctoral thesis 'Fundamental Economic Freedoms Vs Fundamental Human Rights' for monograph publication. Conference presentations include analyses of ECJ jurisprudence at IDEAS Brussels and Birmingham Law School.
